Welcome to Flicx Sheet
What Flicx Sheet is, the few words this manual uses, and where to go for each thing you want to do.
What Flicx Sheet is
Flicx Sheet is one place to keep your lists, your tasks, your notes and your files. You can use it alone, or share it with your family, your friends or the people you work with.
Think of anything you would write in a notebook or in a spreadsheet: a guest list for a wedding, the monthly expenses of your house, the stock in your shop, the students in your tuition class. In Flicx Sheet each of these is a sheet, with rows and columns, that you can open on your computer or on your phone.
- Keep lists in sheets, and attach photos and documents to any row.
- Keep a to-do list with reminders.
- Write notes, and stick a note to a row of a sheet.
- Keep your files in the Library and find them again quickly.
- Share a sheet with others and work on it together at the same time.
- Ask Flicx Companion, the helper inside the app, to do things for you in plain words.
The screen, at a glance
When you sign in on a computer, this is what you see. On a phone the same things are there, arranged to fit a small screen.
- The tabs across the top take you to each part of the app: Sheets, Library, Teams, Schedules and Utilities.
- The list on the left shows your projects and the sheets inside the project that is open.
- The sheet itself is in the middle. Click any cell and start typing.
- The round button at the bottom right opens Flicx Companion.
A few words this manual uses
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Project | A folder for sheets that belong together. For example, one project for a wedding, another for your shop. |
| Sheet | One list, with rows and columns. Like one page of a register. |
| Row | One line of a sheet, going across. One guest, one item, one student. |
| Column | One kind of detail, going down. Name, city, phone number, amount. |
| Cell | One box in the sheet, where a row and a column meet. |
| Library | Where all your files are kept: photos, PDFs, scans and documents. |
| Flicx Companion | The helper inside the app. You type what you want in plain words and it does it, after asking you. |
How to read this manual
Each chapter is about one part of the app. You do not have to read them in order. Pick the one you need from the list of chapters.
- Words shown like Save are things you will see on the screen: a button, a tab or a menu. They are written exactly as the screen shows them.
- Numbered steps are done one after the other.
- The drawings show only the part of the screen being explained, so they look simpler than the real screen.
- A green dot with a number in a drawing matches the step with the same number.
